Cette s\u00e9rie explore la figure du cowboy avec laquelle j’ai grandi. Les westerns holywoodiens avec des hommes forts et combattants.
Ces cowboys anonymes semblent suspendus dans un espace temps incertain… le symbole d’une ic\u00f4ne qui s’estompe \u00e0 en devenir fantomatique. Leurs postures, leurs v\u00eatements et leurs couleurs satur\u00e9es deviennent autant de signes d\u2019une identit\u00e9 fragment\u00e9e et questionne sur la construction d’une identit\u00e9 masculine. Les visages sont volontairement effac\u00e9s ou dissimul\u00e9s, pour accentuer la figure anonyme mais aussi pour placer le sujet entre pr\u00e9sence et disparition.
En d\u00e9tournant les arch\u00e9types d’une certaine virilit\u00e9, je souhaite proposer une vision plus po\u00e9tique, plus silencieuse et plus intime d’un mythe populaire.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
