Immersion sonore dans une \u00e9poque br\u00e8ve et unique de San Francisco. Six ann\u00e9es californiennes pendant lesquelles les relations amoureuses et sexuelles pouvaient se vivre librement par tous, avant que le SIDA ne s’en m\u00eale.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Le 13 Ao\u00fbt 1977, Kevin Bentley, 21 ans, quitte El Paso – Texas, o\u00f9 il est \u00e9tudiant en litt\u00e9rature. Il roule \u00e0 bord d’une Volkswagen rouge en direction de San Francisco, o\u00f9, comme des milliers d’autres \u00e0 cette \u00e9poque, il peut vivre sa sexualit\u00e9 au grand jour. Employ\u00e9 dans un cin\u00e9ma porno puis une librairie, il tient soigneusement un journal o\u00f9 il relate, souvent de fa\u00e7on tr\u00e8s crue, la fr\u00e9n\u00e9sie de rencontres et de relations sexuelles d’un \u201cSummer of love\u201d gay, dix ans apr\u00e8s son pr\u00e9d\u00e9cesseur hippie.\u00a0<\/p>\n

En 2002 il publie Wild<\/em> animals I have known. Polk streets<\/em> diaries and after<\/em>, journal intime qui chronique son arriv\u00e9e et son int\u00e9gration dans cet alors paradis pour jeunes gays fuyant le conservatisme de leur ville d\u2019origine\u2026\u00a0<\/p>\n

Appara\u00eet entre les lignes la description d’un San Francisco d’avant la Silicon Valley\u00a0: alors que Steve Jobs bricole son premier ordinateur, Kevin, Paul, Thomas, Bob et David d\u00e9couvrent une ville ou tout parait possible.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00bb Une ville o\u00f9 ceux qui y v\u00e9curent dans les ann\u00e9es 70 ont senti qu\u2019ils \u00e9taient incroyablement chanceux, parce que c\u2019\u00e9tait tellement unique, vivifiant, sexy et stimulant. \u00ab\u00a0<\/picture><\/p>\n\n\n\n
